About Us
Mental Recovery International
"Mental Recovery International" was established in 2016 as a non-governmental organization registered under the NGOs Coordination Act. Our main role is to impact the vulnerable groups of youth, adults, and the elderly to lead healthy lives in our communities.
Issues revolving around mental health, disability, drug and substance abuse, illiteracy levels, among marginalized and disadvantaged groups, remain unsolved challenges facing high populations in Kenya and the world.
The organization is managed and run by 7 board directors with representatives from every county who help to coordinate grassroots programs. Mental Recovery International also has an MRI Young Women Action (MRI-YWA) committee appointed by the board to serve a 2-year term in recognition of gender equality - a factor of social inclusion for quality service delivery.

We take into account the various economic, social, and leadership challenges faced by these communities, and aim to find long-term solutions that address these issues. We are deeply committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable society, and believe that through leadership development, we can empower young people to become change-makers in their own communities. We are proud to be at the forefront of social change and are dedicated to creating a better future for all.
